Job summary

TRISTAR is seeking a talented Computer Engineer to join our development team in Indiana. You will develop, test, and maintain high-quality software components for EW and tactical mission systems, adhering to technical standards and government requirements.

The role emphasizes full software lifecycle support, from design through sustainment, with opportunities to work across software, systems, test, and cybersecurity teams. A Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development in a structured engineering environment.
• Proficiency in Python, C, C++, or Java.
• Experience with unit, integration, and system-level software testing.
• Familiarity with git-based version control and configuration management.
• ability to troubleshoot software in lab/operational test environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, integrate, test, and maintain software and firmware for EW and tactical mission systems.
• Support full software lifecycle from system design to sustainment of fielded systems.
• Plan, code, test, and deliver algorithms, models, and applications.
• Analyze requirements and support test objectives, plans, and criteria.
• Conduct IV&V testing and document discrepancies.
• Participate in code reviews and automated testing; maintain documentation.
• Troubleshoot and improve software to address defects and vulnerabilities.
• Support cybersecurity, cloud services, and integration into larger networks.
• Prepare engineering and software documentation for labs and field tests.
