Job summary

Millennium is seeking a Software Engineer for the Digital Assets Trading platform. You will partner with the COO of Digital Assets, the Head of Technology, and Engineering Leads to evaluate data providers, implement the strategic data roadmap, and build scalable data pipelines for analytics and trading.

You will design and develop real-time and historical data ingest, order management, trading, reconciliation and risk components, with a focus on data quality, resiliency, and 24/7 operations,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Python experience writing reusable, efficient code for analytics and data processes.
• Experience building scalable, reliable data pipelines.
• 2+ years deploying and managing AWS environments for data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of financial instruments; equities, fixed income, or commodities; exposure to digital assets.
• Experience with AI/ML integration across the SDLC to enhance data quality, analytics, and automation.

Within the Digital Assets technology group, the platform team manages the full lifecycle of trading, data and analytics, reconciliation, and reporting platforms. The team analyzes structured and unstructured digital asset data across public and private markets, along with large fundamental blockchain and alternative data sets. Ideally building scalable, reliable data pipelines with platforms such as Snowflake and Airflow.2+ years of experience deploying and managing AWS environments for data pipelines and intelligence services.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.Experience processing large structured and unstructured datasets with strong quality and resiliency controls, and managing connectivity to data vendors in this space for 24/7 systems.Broad understanding of financial instruments required, with equities, fixed income, or commodities exposure a plus, and a passion for digital assets/cryptocurrency backed by a strong understanding of primary markets and key sources of blockchain data.Demonstrated passion for AI/ML with hands-on integration across the SDLC (feature engineering, model development/deployment, evaluation/monitoring) to enhance data quality, analytics, and automation.Positive, self-driven, hands-on engineer who is effective under pressure and makes sound design and architecture decisions.Salary RangeMillennium offers a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits. The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
