FLSA Status: Exempt / Full-time

Salary Range:$85,000 - $125,000 Annually (depending on experience)

ROLE

We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to streamline how our engineering teams build, test, integrate, and deliver products. This role will help evolve our DevSecOps and Platform Engineering strategy, including expanding the use of AI to automate routine tasks, improve developer productivity, and enhance pipeline observability.

Our environment includes tools such as Jira, Bitbucket, Gitea, Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, DevLake, Grafana, Visual Studio, VS Code, Sigasi, Jama, DOORS, and project‑specific technologies spanning both software and specialized engineering workflows.

The DevSecOps Engineer will work across engineering and IT to reduce friction, strengthen automation, and increase velocity. You’ll identify common challenges, maximize existing tool capabilities, develop reusable solutions, and progressively build a more cohesive, automated, AI‑augmented, and observable engineering ecosystem.

The ideal candidate is a strong software engineer with excellent scripting and automation skills, practical DevSecOps experience, and the ability to work across diverse technical environments. Your solutions will directly improve how dozens of engineers build and deliver products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Connect systems: Integrate source control, CI/CD, build systems, quality tools, infrastructure, monitoring, and engineering applications.
  • Remove friction: Find repetitive, unreliable, or time‑consuming DevOps tasks and automate them.
  • Improve developer experience: Work directly with engineering teams to understand what slows them down and make those workflows easier.
  • Scale good ideas: Identify improvements in one project that can benefit other teams, then turn them into reusable tools, processes, or platforms.
  • Improve reliability: Diagnose complex cross-system problems, fix root causes, and prevent recurring issues.
  • Measure improvement: Establish useful metrics and observability around system health, delivery performance, and developer productivity.
  • Advance our capabilities: Evaluate new technologies and practical applications of tools such as AI that can improve engineering productivity.
  • Develop training: Create clear, practical training materials and sessions to help engineers adopt tools, automation, and best practices.
  • Continuously improve: Use data, feedback, and lessons learned to determine what we should improve next.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong software development and automation skills.
  • Experience with CI/CD, source control, containers, infrastructure, and system integration.
  • Strong scripting/programming ability in Python, PowerShell, Bash, C#, or similar.
  • Experience integrating systems through APIs, automation, plugins, or custom tooling.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a systems‑level understanding of how software, infrastructure, and development workflows interact.
  • Experience with monitoring, metrics, logging, and observability.
  • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar technologies and work across different engineering environments.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with engineering and IT teams.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience in SQL, Databases and information processing.
  • Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Experience in C for Embedded Linux, RTOS, and bare‑metal environments.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Experience designing CI/CD platforms and reusable pipeline frameworks, particularly with Jenkins.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, as well as hybrid/on‑premises environments.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing AI‑assisted development, AI agents, or LLM‑based automation.
  • Experience with CMMC security checks.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, Site Reliability, platform engineering, systems engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
  • US Person required; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Position located in Melbourne, FL or Greenville, SC.
