Job summary

Alchemy is hiring a software engineer on the Developer Experience team. You will own projects end-to-end, from problem statement through production, and measure outcomes.

The role focuses on developer discovery and operation across dashboards, APIs, SDKs, CLI, and MCP server, with growing support for coding agents and x402 payments. We value experience with developer platforms, billing systems, observability, and open source contributions.

Qualifications

• Blockchain experience and developer platforms exposure are preferred.
• Experience with billing, metering, or pricing systems is beneficial.
• Observability, incident response, and performance optimization are valued.
• Open source contributions, talks, or technical writing are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from problem definition through design, launch, measurement, and on-call.
• Design APIs with versioning, error handling, and safe defaults.
• Build data models and services that stay correct as traffic grows, with security in mind.
• Develop the user-facing side across dashboard, CLI, and SDKs for safe discoverability.
• Instrument shipped features using activation and adoption data to guide next steps.
• Write design docs and runbooks; review code and designs to ensure quality.
• Collaborate with Product, Billing, Security, Growth and other teams.
