Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field, with 1+ years of software development experience, or a Master's degree with no prior professional experience.
• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
• Proficiency in Python or Perl.
• Familiarity with Linux shells and command-line interfaces (CLI).

The Role and Impact

As a Software Application Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and debugging software applications used by end-users or integrated with other applications by ISVs. You will work across the full application stack, focusing on both frontend and backend development with modern programming languages and secure coding practices. Your contributions will directly enable high-quality, scalable, and efficient solutions, playing a key role in advancing technology initiatives within Intel.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your degree, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with 1+ years of hands-on experience in software development OR a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with no prior professional experience.
• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Perl.
• Familiarity with Linux shells and command-line interfaces (CLI).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with industry-standard tools such as Ansible, Cobbler, Containers, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems (preferably SUSE).
• Exposure to continuous monitoring solutions like Elastic, Kibana, and Grafana.
• Basic understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/S.
• Familiarity with static typed programming languages such as Java or C++.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $100,550.00-141,950.00 USD The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
