Job summary

Twitch is seeking a Data Platform Software Engineer to help build the next generation of data technology. You will develop and operate data warehouses and pipelines, enabling scalable data processing for hundreds of billions of events daily.

The role focuses on reliability, scalability, and AI-enabled tooling, with collaboration across engineering and analytics teams in a dynamic environment. Seattle-based or San Francisco options may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent industry experience.
• Familiarity with scalability, concurrency, API design, data modeling, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Familiarity with AI coding tools.

About the Role

Twitch is building the future of interactive entertainment. The Data Platform team develops and operates the data platform that powers data systems and decision-making. Our data pipeline receives over 200 billion events a day, and we forward live data to tens of systems as well as powering decisions at all levels of Twitch. We provide tools to store, transform, move, and understand data.

As a software engineer on Data Platform, you will deliver the next generation of Twitch data technology. You will build tools which are reliable and scale. You'll review and shape the work of your peers, and participate in a collaborative engineering team.

You can work from San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA.

You Will:

• Develop new capabilities in our data warehouses and pipelines

You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent industry experience as a Software Engineer

Bonus Points

• Experience using Golang or Python
• Experience with distributed, highly available systems
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
