Job summary

Twitch is seeking a Product Engineering Leader focused on growing creators' revenue. You will lead people to build products and experiences that enable creators to earn a living doing what they love, across Subscriptions, Gifting, Turbo, Bits and Hype Train. The role can sit in San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA.

You will own end-to-end delivery across the stack, partner with cross-functional teams, and drive outcomes with a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Track record of leading teams to design, implement and operate consumer-facing full stack applications.
• 8+ years of software development experience; including 2+ years of people management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; clarity of thought and articulation are critical.
• Experience with web services, cloud infrastructure, and system design.
• Ability to attract, hire and retain engineering talent.
• Comfortable operating within an ambiguous and ever changing environment.
• An impact oriented and product engineering leader mindset.

About the Role

Creators are the backbone of Twitch, and they rely on their ability to earn a living doing what they love. As a Product Engineering Leader focused on growing creators' revenue, you will lead people to build products, features and experiences that enable such a living. You will be empowered to work across the stack and across functions. You will take high ownership of desired outcomes, and then work backwards into the simplest solution that builds towards those outcomes. You are internally motivated to deliver customer impact, know how to articulate that impact to stakeholders and are able to permeate that culture to your team. Our teams own features like Subscriptions, Gifting, Turbo, Bits and Hype Train.

This role can be based in San Francisco, CA or Seattle, WA.

You Will:

• Lead a team of engineers to design, build and operate full stack applications.

You Have:

• 8+ years of software development experience; including 2+ years of people management experience

• Experience with web services, cloud infrastructure, and system design


• Ability to attract, hire and retain engineering talent


• Comfortable operating within an ambiguous and ever changing environment


• An impact oriented and product engineering leader mindset

Bonus Points

• Hands-on experience building applications using Golang, AWS Cloud Infra and/or React


• Experience building Machine Learning or AI applications


• Masters degree in Computer Science or related technical field

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
