Mayo Clinic is seeking a Software Engineer to design and build backend services and enterprise integrations that support data-centric clinical and analytic applications. These cloud-based micro-services must be reliable, scalable, and align with uptime targets while collaborating with data engineering, platform, and solutions teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field, or an Associate's degree with additional 2 years experience.
• 1+ year of software engineering experience or 2+ years coding in high-level languages (C/C++, Go, Java, C#).
• Strong problem solving and time management skills.
• Experience with modern application development frameworks.
• Knowledge of SDLC, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing and operations.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements from teams using our systems and translate into backend services and enterprise integrations.
• Develop cloud-based micro-services for data-centric clinical and analytic applications.
• Ensure uptime, resilience, and scalable performance as data volumes and traffic grow.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects and stakeholders to translate requirements into code.
• Participate in DevOps, Agile, CI/CD practices using tools like ADO, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
