General Catalyst is seeking a Software Engineer for its Customer Value Financing (CVF) fund.
The engineering team, currently three members, is responsible for managing the data pipeline and the CVF platform. Initial responsibilities will involve understanding data flow within CVF and building features for user dashboards. In the medium‑term, the engineer will own systems and develop improvements to scale CVF to a $10B fund. Long‑term, there is significant freedom to work on impactful projects aligned with personal skill development. This role offers high potential for upside.
CVF is a novel financial product that funds Sales & Marketing at growth‑stage companies, collecting revenue solely from the results of this financing. This allows companies to scale without selling equity, taking on additional risk, or burning through their cash. The fund, started in 2021 with $300M, has deployed over $2B and is currently deploying $300M+ per month, consistently hitting target returns. It has financed over 50 companies, including Lemonade, Ro, inDrive, AG1, and Factorial, and is looking to scale to $3B+ within the next year.
