Job summary

Amazon Advertising's CreativeX team seeks a Software Development Engineer to design and build scalable backend and frontend systems handling billions of ad impressions and countless advertiser interactions. You will own products end-to-end from conception through deployment, ensuring quality, performance, and reliability across the customer experience.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and data specialists to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend and frontend systems that process billions of ad impressions and support millions of advertiser interactions
• Own products end-to-end, from conception through deployment, ensuring quality, performance, and reliability across the customer experience
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and data specialists to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Solve complex technical challenges by breaking down ambiguous problems, evaluating trade-offs, and implementing pragmatic solutions that balance multiple competing interests
• Contribute to continuous innovation by staying current with industry practices, proposing improvements to existing systems, and mentoring other engineers on your team
