Job summary

Jobtailor in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain core claims systems across claims intake, adjudication, and payment processing.

You will build Java applications, create and consume RESTful APIs, work with SQL Server, and participate in agile teams. Strong communication, independence, and collaboration are essential; in-office presence is required at least 3 days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent IT experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.
• Experience developing in Java.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance Java-based applications and services using established engineering standards and best practices


• Develop, consume, and support RESTful APIs integrating internal and external systems with Core Claims platforms


• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and data access logic


• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, quality engineers, and other engineers in an agile environment


• Participate in code reviews for readability, maintainability, performance, and security
