Job summary

Logiqal is building the first scaled quantum computer using neutral atom qubit technology. As a Software Engineer on the controls side, you will develop components for nanosecond-level laser timing, high-speed camera acquisition, and distributed system monitoring to enable robust quantum computations.

You will own control software, collaborate with atomic physicists, and help establish performance benchmarks to ensure reliable operation of the controls stack and instrumentation across tightly

Qualifications

  • Hands-on instrumentation experience in laboratory settings.
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing processes.
  • Experience building and maintaining distributed data pipelines and monitoring systems.

Job description

Overview

Logiqal is building the first scaled quantum computer using neutral atom qubit technology. As a Software Engineer on the controls side, you will develop components for nanosecond-level laser timing, high-speed camera acquisition, and distributed system monitoring to enable robust quantum computations.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and own control software components for nanosecond-level timing of laser modulation signals
  • Build precision data acquisition systems from high-speed cameras and integrate with control pipelines
  • Design and implement system-of-systems monitoring and diagnostics infrastructure
  • Establish and monitor performance benchmarks for the controls stack in collaboration with atomic physicists
  • Perform hands-on instrumentation work integrating high-speed cameras, RF signal generators, GPUs, and Linux systems
What You Need
  • Strong software fundamentals and hands-on instrumentation experience
  • Expertise in hardware-in-the-loop testing and data pipelines
  • Experience with distributed infrastructure monitoring and control systems
  • Ability to work across the software/hardware boundary
  • Comfortable with Linux systems and kernel-level customizations
Nice to Have
  • Physics background or experience in adjacent scientific fields
  • Experience integrating high-speed cameras, RF signal generators, and GPUs
  • Linux kernel customization experience
  • Quantum computing knowledge (training provided)
Benefits & Compensation

Base salary $150,000–$235,000 commensurate with experience, plus equity. Comprehensive benefits including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees, highly subsidized benefits for spouses and dependents, 401k, and FSA.
