Job summary

Google Pittsburgh is seeking a Software Engineer for Cloud Observability Analytics Integrations. You will help build backend infrastructure and integration pipelines to make trace and error log data actionable for developers and AI agents across Google Cloud.

You will participate in design reviews, implement features for OA Integrations, Cloud Trace, and Cloud Error Reporting, and collaborate with SRE to ensure reliability, with on-call duties after ramping up.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of software development experience or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• 2 years of experience with large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems, or related compute/storage knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Participate in or lead design reviews to decide amongst available technologies.
• Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing sources and impact on hardware, network or service operations and quality.
• Develop new features for the OA Integrations pipelines, Cloud Trace, and Cloud Error Reporting products and ensure tools remain compliant with Cloud horizontals.
• Collaborate with SRE to ensure reliability and participate in the team's 24x7 production on-call rotation after ramping up.

As a Software Engineer on the Cloud Observability Analytics team, you will build and support the backend infrastructure that makes our products intelligent. In this role, you will define system components, influence the architecture of critical services, and develop deep expertise in core Google Cloud technologies.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $147000 - $210000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
