Job summary

Tensor is seeking an engineer to join its perception team to develop, optimize, and maintain ISP pipelines for camera systems powering autonomous driving. You will collaborate with hardware teams to integrate and fine‑tune ISP algorithms and drive image quality improvements.

Required: a Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/EE, 3+ years in ISP software, proficiency in C/C++ and Python for embedded development, and strong knowledge of image processing, camera sensors, and real‑time systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in ISP software development or related fields.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for embedded software development.
  • Strong understanding of ISP pipelines, image processing algorithms, and camera sensor technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain ISP pipelines for camera systems of autonomous driving.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate and fine-tune ISP algorithms.
  • Implement and optimize image processing algorithms, including demosaicing, noise reduction, white balance, HDR processing, etc.
  • Analyze and improve image quality metrics such as sharpness, color accuracy, and dynamic range.
  • Debug and resolve imaging issues related to ISP software and hardware interactions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends in computational photography and imaging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of computational photography techniques and deep learning applications in imaging.
  • Familiarity with hardware-accelerated image processing (e.g., GPU, DSP, FPGA).
  • Experience with real‑time embedded systems and low‑level programming.
Preferences
  • MS or PhD in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Computer Graphics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Deep expertise in computer vision and machine learning; stay up‑to‑date with the latest SOTA in these fields.
  • Track record of published research in top-tier computer vision conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, or other leading forums.
