Job summary

Snap Inc in Santa Clarita, CA is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to join the Specs Lens Platform team. You will design, develop, and optimize LensCore for AR experiences across Specs, Snapchat Lenses, and Lens Studio.

You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, contribute to technical specs, and leverage modern C++, rendering APIs, and ML-related tools to empower creators and users.

Qualifications

• BS in a technical field or equivalent years of experience.
• 1+ years of industry C++ development experience.
• Experience with Qt framework.
• Experience with rendering APIs: DirectX, Metal, Vulkan or OpenGL.
• Experience with 3D rendering engines like Lens Studio, Unity or Unreal.
• Experience with OpenCV, Eigen and glm.
• Knowledge of computer vision, sensors, or machine learning.
• Strong CS fundamentals and team communication.
• Proficiency in Python or JavaScript scripting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support features for LensCore, the AR engine driving specs, Snapchat Lenses and Lens Studio.
• Optimize LensCore engine for Specs.
• Collaborate with other teams to deliver features to Lens creators.
• Participate in feature planning and create technical specifications.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.
