Actalent in Liverpool, NY is seeking a Software Engineer to maintain and enhance complex software systems, analyze and resolve fielded software issues, implement robust fixes, and deliver high-quality code through design, development, and unit testing.

You will work across the full software maintenance lifecycle on Linux and Windows, collaborate with teammates, review code, and contribute to testing, integration, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 3 years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent hands-on development experience.

Responsabilités

• Analyze and troubleshoot problem reports from fielded software systems to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
• Incorporate software fixes into existing baselines while maintaining stability, performance, and code quality.
• Design, develop, and unit test software components using object-oriented programming principles.
• Perform software integration activities, ensuring updated components work within the broader system.
• Execute software testing to validate functionality, performance, and reliability of new and modified code.
• Collaborate with team members to review code and improve software engineering practices.
• Document changes, fixes, and test results for traceability and maintenance.
