Job summary

Responsibilities

• Спроектировать, разработать, протестировать и задокументировать новые возможности PGD.
• Поддерживать и улучшать производительность и удобство существующих возможностей PGD.
• Анализировать бизнес-требования и переводить их в исполнимые задачи.
• Предоставлять поддержку в продакшене пользователям PGD EDB.
• Участвовать в обзоре кода и работать с распределенной по миру командой.

• Design, develop, test, and document new PGD capabilities
• Maintain and improve the performance and usability of existing PGD capabilities
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into executable tasks
• Provide production support to EDB’s PGD customers
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with a globally distributed team

Требования

• 5+ Years of experience in a software engineering position
• Strong proficiency in C programming
• Experience with PostgreSQL internals, including the storage engine, WAL, replication, catalog system, or extension development
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts, including replication topologies, consensus, conflict resolution, eventual consistency, and failure modes
• Experience with multi-version and multi-branch codebases with active backporting workflows
• Familiarity with build systems and CI/CD practices
• Comfort working with Git on a large, long-lived codebase with complex branching
• Strong debugging and performance analysis skills
• Будет плюсом: contributions to PostgreSQL or other open-source database projects, logical replication, logical decoding or custom replication solutions, distributed consensus algorithms such as Raft, the PostgreSQL extension API and hook system, high-availability architectures and failover mechanisms, Python, Rust, AWS, Azure, GCP, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes
