Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Software Engineer. Our team follows a 9x80 schedule at the REC facility with every other Friday off. The role centers on applying software engineering principles to complex analytical processes and visualization, planning and implementing solutions for major projects.

Applicants should have a BS in engineering, physics, or math and familiarity with IDEs (Visual Studio/VS Code). US Citizenship and Q-clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or similar.
• 0 years of required experience for Level 1; equivalent combinations accepted.
• Experience with IDEs such as Visual Studio or VS Code.
• Ability to obtain US Citizenship and Q-clearance/SCI access if assigned.

Responsibilities

• Apply software engineering principles to complex analytical processes and data visualization.
• Plan, develop and implement software engineering solutions for major projects.
• Support project plans, cost and schedule estimates for design and development.
• Review code, designs, and reports to assess quality and improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical direction.
