Job summary

NCR Corporation, headquartered in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Software Engineer (full-time) to collaborate with product managers, UI/UX, and QA, translating business requirements into robust software features and delivering them on schedule.

You will contribute to a rigorous software lifecycle with emphasis on test-driven development, mentoring junior developers, and guiding architecture and integration challenges alongside Agile practices, CI/CD tooling, and Git expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or related field with two years of software development experience.
• Two years of experience understanding software architecture and system integration.
• Two years experience with object oriented programming languages.
• Two years experience with software verification, validation, and testing.
• One year of experience mentoring junior developers.
• Knowledge of Agile, CI/CD tools, and Git.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with product managers, product owners, UI/UX and other functions.
• Translating business requirements to development/test/release plans.
• Delivering software solutions on time to the customer.
• Participating in the software development lifecycle with focus on customer support and root cause analysis.
• Testing based on knowledge of system architecture and interdependencies.
• Estimating time and resources for software development and test efforts.
• Providing technical leadership to internal and external product development teams.
• Reporting on project progress weekly.
• Managing and tracking software defects and coordinating with development team for resolution.
• Diagnosing and debugging issues within the system and downstream dependencies.
• Advocating for quality-upfront and test driven/behavior driven development.
