Job summary

Auria is seeking a Software Engineer to support the C2BMC program. This onsite role is based in Huntsville, AL and requires a DoD clearance and strong Java/J2EE, C++/OO skills.

You will develop and maintain enterprise software on Linux, participate in design, coding, testing, and documentation, and work with maven, GitHub, Nexus, and Eclipse in an Agile environment. U.S. security clearance is required at start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 5 years of experience; or Master's with 3 years; or 9 years equivalent experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required to start.
• Experience with software practices: coding standards, automated testing, automated build pipelines, configuration management.
• Java/J2EE, C++/OO experience for enterprise apps on Linux (Windows also desired).
• Experience with maven, git/GitHub, nexus, Eclipse.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products.
• Develop or modify OS applications from specifications; design, code, test, and document programs.
• Interface with support groups to resolve problems and improve OS efficiency.

Job description

Auria is looking to hire a Software Engineer to support the Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications(C2BMC) program. This role is onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for performing in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
• Works from specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications. Assists with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs.
• Interfaces with other system support groups to resolve problems, setting standards and improving overall efficiency of the operating system.
• Designs, codes, tests and implements tools for operations automation.
• Works on most phases of software systems programming applications and may require minor instruction and guidance in other phases.

Basic Qualifications:

Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master's degree in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree
• Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
• Experience and knowledge of software practices such as coding standards, automated testing, automated build pipelines and configuration.
• Software engineering and software development with strong Java/J2EE, C++/OO or similar language experience.
• Experience developing enterprise applications on Linux (Windows experience also desired).
• Use of common software development and management tools such as maven, git/GitHub, nexus and Eclipse.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the following areas is desired for effective performance in this role:
• Command and control system application development.
• Experience with Software Integration and formal testing.
• Ability to present advanced concepts to non-software engineers, including senior program and military leaders.
• Experience with DevSecOps and/or build management.

PAY TRANSPARENCY:

The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $130,000 - $145,000
