Work Authorization:

We are seeking a highly skilledSoftware Engineer with strong backend development expertise to join Credit Karma on a long-term contract. This is abackend-focused role with some exposure to frontend development. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, deliver high-quality solutions quickly, and collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently execute backend engineering tasks with minimal supervision.
• Build and enhance features on top of an existing codebase.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and QA in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
• Contribute to scaling product features for millions of users.

Required Skills

• Programming Languages: Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript.
• Frameworks & Tools: GraphQL, Node.js, React.
• Cloud: Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) preferred.
• Architecture: Experience with microservices.
• Deployment: Familiar with CI/CD pipelines.
• Additional: Strong computer science fundamentals.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience with Scala.
• Previous product engineering experience building customer-facing features.
• Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems.
