Job summary

Tensor is seeking a Software Engineer for the Simulation team in San Jose, CA to design and implement toolchains, services, and frameworks for autonomous vehicle simulation.

You will work across C++, Node.js, Shell, and Python, contributing to scalable simulation platforms, collaborating with frontend and backend engineers, and ensuring safety and performance in a dynamic digital world.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 2+ years in architecture design for scalable systems.
  • Proficiency in C++, Node.js, Shell, or Python.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop simulation tools, services, and frameworks.
  • Develop core simulation platforms with scalability, flexibility, stability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with frontend and backend teams for integration and functionality of simulation services.
  • Identify issues, define and develop new features, and address simulation bottlenecks.
  • Build, setup and maintain simulation cloud services for reliability and scalability.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop tool, service, algorithm, framework, module of simulation in C++, Node.js, Shell, Python or other modern languages.
  • Design and develop the platform of simulation core services with high standards of scalability, flexibility, stability, and performance.
  • Work closely with other frontend and backend engineering team to ensure seamless integration and functionality of simulation services.
  • Work closely with simulation users to identify issue, define and develop new features, build effective solutions to address simulation bottlenecks.
  • Build, setup and maintain simulation cloud services for all team members, ensuring reliability and scalability.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in software development experience, including internship
  • 2+ years of experience in architecture design (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Extensive experience in programming with at least one of these software programming languages: C++, Node.js, Shell, and Python
Preferences
  • 3+ years of experience in full software development life cycle, encompassing coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Master's degree in computer science, software engineering or equivalent
