GhostEye seeks a backend engineer to build and operate services that tie campaign setup, scheduling, delivery, and results reporting. You should have production experience in TypeScript or Rust, with strong knowledge of async and concurrent design, retries, and recovery.
You will work near AI components, deployments on AWS, and contribute to incident writing and design clarity. The role emphasizes handling delays, failures, and uncertain responses while maintaining secure permissions and robust
The role is about building and running the backend services that tie together campaign setup, scheduling, phone and text delivery, and results reporting. A strong candidate has real production experience in TypeScript or Rust, understands concurrency and messy event handling, and can explain clearly how a system works and where it might break. Good judgment on permissions, retries, and recovery matters as much as writing code.
The work sits right next to AI models, speech generation, and live calls, so much of the backend challenge is handling delays, failures, and uncertain responses from those parts. AI can speed up writing code and tests, but deciding how a long-running operation should recover, who is allowed to access what, and how to trust the evidence collected still takes careful human judgment.
The company runs its own fine-tuned model, voice synthesis, and phone infrastructure, so an engineer here would see how AI components behave inside a real product, including latency and failure handling. Someone building toward this could practice by wiring a speech or language model API into a call or messaging flow and handling timeouts and retries.
