Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior/Lead Fullstack JavaScript Engineer with AI skills to design, build, and ship production features end-to-end—from database to API to UI. You will own real feature work on our stack (Node.js, React, PostgreSQL/Redis, AWS or other cloud) and use AI tools daily as production instruments.

Responsibilities include crafting full-stack features, taking ownership from implementation to testing and documentation, and integrating with cloud services while reviewing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience with React/Angular and modern frontend/backend stacks.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or Redis and cloud platforms.
• Daily use of AI coding assistants and strong prompt skills.
• Ability to critically review AI-generated code and ensure quality.
• Excellent English communication and collaboration.

We are looking for a Senior/Lead Fullstack JavaScript Engineer with AI skills to build and ship production features end-to-end — from the database up through the API to the UI — while making AI-assisted development a genuine part of the daily workflow, not a side skill. You'll own real feature work on our stack (Node.js, React, PostgreSQL/Redis, AWS or other cloud) and use tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code as production instruments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship full-stack features across the JavaScript/TypeScript stack — frontend (React, Next.js), backend (Node.js), and the database layer.
• Own tasks end to end: implementation, testing, code review, and documentation.
• Use AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) daily to implement tasks, generate tests, debug, and explore the codebase.
• Apply prompt engineering and context management to get reliable, on-target output from AI tools.
• Critically review AI-generated code before merging — validate correctness, check for hallucinated logic, and understand every change you ship.
• Integrate with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) and third-party services as needed.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
• Debug and resolve production issues across the stack, using AI tools to accelerate root-cause analysis where useful.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with Node.js and frameworks on the FE side: React, Angular.
• Experience with database systems such as PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Daily production experience with AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) — genuine usage habits.
• Ability to critically review AI-generated code.
• Solid prompt engineering skills: structured prompts, system vs. user prompts, clear context management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work fast and efficiently under real delivery pressure.
• Advanced English (B2+ or higher).
• Nice to have Knowledge of Python.
• Experience with platform engineering, observability, and/or reliability engineering.
• System design experience.
• Experience configuring multi-step agentic workflows with multiple MCP integrations.
• Comfortable managing parallel AI agents safely (Git Worktree-based sandboxing).
• Experience reviewing AI-generated PRs critically — spotting hallucinated logic, unnecessary changes, and scope creep.
• Skills in designing reusable prompts and multi-step agentic flows.
