Job summary

Vooma in San Francisco, CA is seeking an Infrastructure / Backend Engineer on our founding team to design and build the technical backbone of a category-defining company.

You will deploy AI-heavy workloads, ensure scalability, security, and reliability, manage IaC, clouds, CI/CD, and observability.

Join as one of the first 20 employees and help shape the product from day one, in a hands-on, high-ownership environment.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying and productionizing ML or AI-heavy workloads.
• Expertise building secure, scalable systems on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Deep knowledge of backend systems, networking, and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with infrastructure security principles and compliance (SOC 2).
• Owner mindset: proactive, hands-on, end-to-end problem solving.
