Job summary

Lendbuzz in Boston is seeking a software engineer to join our engineering team. You will participate in all phases of software development, primarily building backend services in Python, supporting RESTful APIs and event-driven workflows, and collaborating with teams to create scalable, reliable systems.

You will contribute to frontend work with React, Next.js, and TypeScript when needed, research new tools, and help expand, test, and release products impacting thousands of customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of backend development experience.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs, with familiarity in microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Fluency in relational database technology such as PostgreSQL.
• Strong grounding in testing methodologies, including TDD and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with AWS or comparable cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with agentic development workflows and AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar).
• Working knowledge of React, Next.js, and TypeScript, with a willingness to contribute across the stack.
• Proven ability to work independently, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
