Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Software Engineer on the Galileo team to design, build, and scale infrastructure for testing and evaluation workflows in the autonomous driving stack. You will own major components, drive production-quality delivery, and mentor others in a fast-paced environment.

The role focuses on data pipelines, backend services, and tools for AV/ADAS development, with collaboration across functions and a commitment to engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Software Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience building and operating production-grade software systems.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, JavaScript, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software systems that support large-scale autonomous driving evaluation workflows.
• Own major components and services that enable simulation, test execution, analysis, and reporting at scale.
• Build and improve infrastructure to process and analyze large volumes of driving and evaluation data.
• Drive reliable software delivery through code reviews, automated testing, observability, and CI.
• Collaborate across teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Debug production issues, improve performance, and strengthen operational excellence.
