Job summary

Kraken is seeking an hands-on software engineer to join a cross-functional team of about 10 engineers, product and ML specialists. You'll work with Kraken platform teams on two connected areas: build reusable core and implementation for clients, with emphasis on safe rollout and observability.

You will own integrations between Kraken, MCP interfaces, and AI agent setups, using Python and TypeScript, plus authentication, tests and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Shipped and supported production software with testing and code reviews.
• Proficient in Python and TypeScript with ability to move between tools.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and curiosity about AI.
• Able to communicate with non-engineers and translate real-world processes into software.
• Reliable delivery with clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Investigate customer support queries and translate into technical plans.
• Build integrations between Kraken, MCP interfaces and AI agent setup using Python and TS.
• Create reusable, client-agnostic components from common patterns.
• Include authentication, permissions, validation, and handoff in design.
• Ship features behind feature toggles with testing and documentation.
• Collaborate with clients and teammates; document decisions and commitments.
• Develop dashboards, monitoring, and runbooks for observability.
