Job summary

Peraton seeks a Junior Software Engineer to support an Intel Community mission in the Ft. Meade/Annapolis Junction, MD area.

You will develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems, handling analytics, algorithm development, large data sets, real-time systems, and business IT needs. Responsibilities include reviewing components, testing results, resolving issues, and applying appropriate development methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline required; four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelors degree.
• Active TS SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required.

Responsibilities

• Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
• Resolve software problem reports.
• Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provide input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, COTS/GOTS usage, and requirements analysis from system level to individual software components.

Peraton is seeking Junior Software Engineer to support an Intel Community (IC) mission in the Ft. Meade/Annapolis Junction, MD area. The Cyber Software Engineer will develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirements.

Responsibilities may include:

• Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
• Resolve software problem reports.
• Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Qualifications

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
