The Apple Media Products (AMP) Data Services Team seeks exceptional engineers to design and build leading systems for managing complex and expanding data and infrastructure needs. Supporting millions of users and billions of transactions, we play a vital role in the Apple ecosystem. Description

The Apple Media Products Engineering team manages extensive content across over 150 markets, powering features in the Apple ecosystem including the App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV+, iTunes, iBooks, and Podcasts. We have increasing demands for data storage and consumption. Your role will involve building next-generation infrastructure and platform services, supporting features like structured and unstructured storage, caching, and queuing. You will collaborate with various AMP teams to develop scalable services and pipelines that deliver low-latency, personalized data solutions. The ideal candidate questions assumptions, works well under tight deadlines, and provides elegant technical solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience
• Proficiency in Java and/or C++, with strong object-oriented design skills
• Experience with scalable data stores such as Cassandra, Redis, or MongoDB
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and services
• Strong debugging, performance tuning, and production skills
• Understanding of data architecture and related challenges
• Experience with complex, distributed systems emphasizing scalability and performance
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with container platforms like Kubernetes (K8s)
• Knowledge of distributed data store replication and CRDTs
• Experience with message queue systems such as Kafka or RocketMQ

Pay & Benefits
