Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to build native Android experiences, modernize legacy code, and contribute to an internal design system.

You’ll work with Backend, iOS, and Product teams to deliver high-quality features in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment. You should have 5+ years in Android development, strong Kotlin and Android SDK skills, Jetpack Compose, and experience with RESTful APIs or gRPC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Android development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern UI toolkits.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services.
• Deep understanding of Android architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData, Flow).
• Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks (Dagger/Hilt).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Upper-intermediate English level.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality native Android applications using Kotlin.
• Collaborate with cross-functional vertical teams (Backend, iOS, Product) to define, design, and ship new features.
• Implement UI components for an internal design system, ensuring pixel-perfect execution.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Deep understanding of Android architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData, Flow);
• Familiarity with dependency injection frameworks (Dagger/Hilt);
• Strong communication skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment;
• Upper‑intermediate English level.

NICE TO HAVES

• Experience contributing to or building Design Systems;
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile (Bitrise, CircleCI, or similar);
• Experience interacting with GraphQL APIs.
