What You’ll Do

  • Own major features and work closely with the design team to deliver high‑quality features inside the Android app.
  • Shape the future of the Android team and contribute to product decisions.
  • Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key features.
  • Participate in cross‑team discussions with Product, Design, and Engineering.
  • Review pull requests and support teammates; handle critical issues or unexpected challenges.
  • Take ownership of feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team.

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Android components and experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
  • Product design intuition and user empathy; drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
  • Understanding of testing strategies and how to write tests.
  • Self‑driven with focus on improving the app and codebase beyond the stated spec.
  • Strong Kotlin experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit.
  • User‑oriented problem solving and openness to continuous feedback from leaders.

Bonus

  • Experience building, maintaining, or contributing to open‑source Android projects.
  • Experience with iOS, Web, or Node.js.

Salary

The United States Based Salary range for this role is: 140,000-200,000 USD/Year + Bonus + Stock depending on experience.
