Job summary

Amazon Photos Alexa Experiences team is hiring a software engineer to design and build full-stack features spanning front-end experiences on Alexa devices and scalable backend services. You will own features end-to-end, from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, and production monitoring.

You will integrate with LLM-powered systems to deliver intelligent, voice-driven photo experiences, collaborate with Alexa platform teams and Photos infrastructure, and help shape

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 3+ years of design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
  • 2+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

About the team

The Photos Alexa Experiences team owns the end-to-end photos experience on Alexa-powered devices. We build the features that let customers discover, enjoy, and share their memories through voice commands and intelligent displays. We work in Alexa AI stack, giving you hands‑on exposure to how LLMs operate in production at scale. The team is high-velocity and collaborative — every engineer has meaningful influence on technical direction and product decisions. Your work reaches millions of Prime members across multiple device types.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • 2+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below.

USA, WA, Seattle - 143,700.00 - 194,400.00 USD annually
