Job summary

Harmonic is seeking a Software Engineer to build robust, scalable systems that bridge research and product development in Palo Alto. You will translate cutting-edge AI research into production-ready software and contribute across the full development lifecycle.

Collaborate with AI researchers, product managers and other engineers to deliver high-quality, reliable code. This role offers a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong growth opportunities in AI-driven software.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Experience building, scaling, and maintaining large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience with modern software development practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build and deployment processes, and testing.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI research scientists to translate state-of-the-art research into practical, scalable software.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle including: requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, reviewing, deployment, and support.
• Ensure the scalability, efficiency, and reliability of software systems through the entire development lifecycle.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality product.
