Job summary

AI Startup in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Software Engineer to help build production AI infrastructure. You will code in Python, Go, or C, partner with AI/ML engineers, and own CI/CD for your services in a small, fast-moving team.

This contract-to-hire role requires 3–5 years of production software experience, Linux, containers, and strong debugging skills. You will work independently in an early-stage environment with broad scope and meaningful ownership.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional software development in Python, Go, or C (at least one at a strong, production level).
• Working knowledge of AI/ML development - how models are trained, served, and integrated into applications.
• Hands-on CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or equivalent), including automated testing and release pipelines.
• Comfortable in Linux environments, containers, and git-based workflows.
• Able to work independently in an early-stage environment with limited process and shifting priorities.

• MLOps experience - model deployment, versioning, monitoring, and retraining workflows.

Strong Match (Bonus)

• Open-source framework depth with PostgreSQL.
• Test framework design and automation at scale.
• Streaming telemetry - gNMI/gRPC, OpenConfig, Kafka, or similar high-volume metrics pipelines.
