Job summary

Sixfold, in New York, builds AI-driven underwriting tools and invites a software engineer to join the team. You will build and run the cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, deployment tooling, and observability systems to enable engineers to develop, release, and operate our products.

You will work with React and TypeScript on the frontend and contribute to Ruby/Python services when needed, participating in on-call rotation and shaping architectural decisions in a fast-growth insurtech

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Familiar with web development using React and TypeScript.
• Familiar with Node and PostgreSQL and able to build features in a TS app.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• You value communication, collaboration, and execution in a fast-growth environment.
• Experience with agentic coding and tool integration (Claude Code/Codex) is a plus.
• Insurance/insurtech background is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build and deliver quality software across the full application stack.
• Develop AI engineering expertise and apply ML principles.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to ship features.
• Own software through its lifecycle, including on-call rotation.
