Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join its AI team and build data pipelines powering model training and next‑gen AI products. The role involves discovering new audio data sources, building large-scale pipelines, and collaborating with AI Scientists to improve training data and models.

You will work on production-grade systems in a distributed, 100% remote setting, tackling complex problems with autonomy and impact across Speechify's toolstack.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production data-pipeline systems.

Responsibilities

• Discover new data sources and build reliable pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems optimizing data quality, throughput and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to improve training data and models.
• Own engineering projects from problem discovery through implementation and iteration.
