Job summary

Speechify is a distributed, remote-first company building AI-driven text-to-speech data platforms. We seek a Software Engineer - AI Data to architect data pipelines powering model training and next-generation AI products.

You will join a globally distributed team of engineers, scientists, and researchers solving complex data problems. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software engineering, Python/Bash proficiency, and experience with data pipelines, production systems, and cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building and operating production systems, ideally involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.
• Familiarity with ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.

Responsibilities

• Discover new audio data sources and build reliable pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems, optimizing for data quality, throughput, and cost.
• Collaborate closely with AI Scientists to improve training datasets and support the development of next-generation models.
• Take ownership of engineering projects from problem discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.
