What You’ll do

As a full stack Software Engineer, you will help shape the future of AI-driven financial technology. You'll work on building and maintaining our cutting-edge generative AI platform and contribute to the cognitive architecture that powers AI applications across our organization. This full-stack role focuses on enhancing frontend user experiences, integrating new data sources, building tools and agents, and supporting and enhancing backend APIs. This role offers the unique opportunity to architect and influence every layer of our AI platform - from frontend user experience and application design to data integration and agent development. You will be thinking creatively about how to solve hard problems and build useful systems using LLMs and AI tools.

Your responsibilities will be :

  • Build and deploy generative AI-driven applications using modern full-stack technologies (React, Python, cloud services)
  • Develop and enhance Cboe's AI Platform
  • Design new agents and tools and integrate them with the Cboe AI Platform
  • Create intuitive, novel user interfaces that make complex AI capabilities accessible to end users
  • Stay up to date on AI advancements, and think critically about when and how to implement them
  • Work closely with complementary engineering teams
  • Produce clear and thorough documentation, including high-level charter, functional requirements, technical design, and testing scenarios
  • Provide ongoing application support to end users
  • Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to an end-user audience

The ideal candidate has:

  • Either:
    • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
    • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in another discipline with demonstrated experience (academic or professional) building generative AI applications.
  • 1-3 years of experience building applications in python
  • 1-2 years of experience with react and modern front end development
  • Understanding of prompting best practices.
  • Knowledge of current AI landscape.
  • Willingness to think creatively to explore potential use cases.
  • A passion for working in financial markets.

You’ll really stand if you have:

  • Worked with cloud computing services (AWS, Snowflake preferred).
  • Experience with vector databases, text embeddings, and/or agent-based AI tools.
  • Experience writing effective and performant SQL
  • Experience building end-to-end, large scale web applications
  • Projects or experience leveraging AI for creative or novel use cases
