Job summary

Epsilon C5I, a unit of Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc., seeks a Software Engineer III for San Diego, CA. You will join the Agile Core Services Development Team and contribute to building a mature PaaS and data mediation infrastructure.

Responsibilities include coding, integration, troubleshooting, and collaboration across teams, with travel to CONUS/OCONUS facilities as needed. DoD clearance and strong container experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent.
• 4–8 years of software engineering experience.
• Must have DoD IAT Level II certification or eligibility.
• At least 2 years with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm or similar.
• Experience with VMs, AWS, containers, Ansible; familiarity with RHEL.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex OS and network issues in RHEL.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an AGILE software development environment.
• Create, update, and close trouble tickets; track items to resolution.
• Integrate multi-functional applications into container-based services.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code meeting requirements.
• Troubleshoot code defects and deploy timely fixes.
• Document code using government CM tools.
• Deploy, install, and troubleshoot software at Fleet and Navy facilities.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead subsets of the team.
