Boeing Defense, Space & Security in Daytona Beach, Florida, seeks a Senior Software Engineer, Mission Systems Software Developer (Level 5), to drive full lifecycle development of mission-critical software in an agile, DevSecOps environment.

Qualifications

About The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Software Engineer Mission Systems Software Developer (Level 5) to join our dynamic team at Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) in Daytona Beach, Florida. This pivotal role involves developing and integrating complex mission systems software across all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture design, implementation, testing, and deployment. The successful candidate will work within an agile environment, utilizing DevSecOps practices to ensure continuous integration and deployment, with a focus on security, automation, and code quality. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-stakes defense projects that push the boundaries of aerospace technology and national security.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. A minimum of 10 years of experience in full lifecycle software development, modeling, simulation, testing, or analysis using languages such as C, C++, C#, Python, Java, Ada, and Linux is required. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency with version control systems like Git, ClearCase, or Subversion. Preference will be given to candidates with 14 or more years of relevant experience, strong decision-making skills, and prior leadership experience in software development teams. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance are mandatory for this role.
