Job summary

DeepMind Technologies Limited in California is seeking a highly capable software engineer to design, implement, and prototype algorithms, while leading software/hardware co-design and kernel optimizations. You will collaborate with product teams, benchmark performance, and guide architecture decisions for ML accelerators and inference software.

A BS is required, with Python and C++ expertise; PhD and 2+ years of hardware-accelerator experience are preferred.

Job description

Collaborate with product teams to design, implement, and prototype software algorithms, while leading software/hardware co-design and kernel optimization. Benchmark and optimize performance, gather insights to guide future software and hardware designs, and inform the technology roadmap.

Requirements: A bachelor's degree in computer science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required, along with Python and C++ software development experience and experience with machine learning accelerators and inference software. Preferred qualifications include a PhD and two years of experience with hardware accelerators, co-design, performance optimization, and large-scale collaborative software development, as well as the ability to plan and execute projects in ambiguous environments.
