Job Description: Software Engineer at Raft

This is a U.S. based position. All programs supported require U.S. citizenship, and work must be conducted within the continental U.S.

About the role:

Raft is developing a platform for the DoD that enables operators and analysts to train custom computer vision models without machine learning expertise. Built on our data platform and AI Toolkit, this platform manages the entire ML lifecycle, data ingestion, model export, and more, with an intuitive UI designed for collaboration with an automated AI engineer system. Technologies involved include TypeScript, React, and Kubernetes. You will work directly with a high-performing team to impact our warfighters' mission.

What we are looking for:

• 3+ years of hands-on engineering experience
• Extensive experience with TypeScript and React
• Experience creating web-socket and RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch
• Interest in working with imagery and video from drones, satellites, and military assets
• Deep understanding of software design and architecture patterns
• Experience with cloud-native environments (Kubernetes)
• Ability to obtain a Security+ certification within 90 days of employment
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics

Highly preferred:

• Python experience
• Experience with DAGs and queuing systems
• Experience with AWS and microservices

Clearance Requirements:

• Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility

Work Type:

• Remote
• Up to 25% travel possible

Salary Range:

• $140,000 - $180,000
• Compensation based on experience and skills
