Job summary

FreeWheel, a Comcast company, is seeking a Software Engineer 3 to join the Kubernetes Platform team in Reston, VA. This hybrid role designs and delivers containerized software that meets business goals, analyzes system requirements, and guides application customization.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and advance CI/CD pipelines on AWS and OCI, applying Terraform and GitOps practices to run production Kubernetes environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Platform Engineering
• Experience with Go or Python as a programming language
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications
• Experience with public clouds such as AWS or OCI
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Argo CD) and IaC tools (Terraform) / GitOps
