Job Summary

FreeWheel’s mission is to build great AdTech software. We are looking for an Engineer 3 to join our growing engineering team in FreeWheel. Our Business engineering team works with huge provisioned datasets from several sources to help the world’s largest programmers, measurement partners, and networks monetize their supplies. We build and maintain responsive and user-friendly interfaces using modern web technologies crossing various devices and browsers on the state-of-the-art Cloud-Native platform built on AWS. Job Description
Core Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering leadership to gather requirements.
  2. Interface with global engineering teams/components when necessary.
  3. Use a combination of cutting-edge technologies to increase workflow flexibility and API responsiveness.
  4. Provide innovative end-to-end solutions for new business requirements.
  5. Write technical design documentation.
  6. Develop test case design documentation.
  7. Participate in technical and testing design reviews.
  8. Implement software solutions according to FreeWheel engineering standards.
  9. Develop and implement Unit Tests, Regression Tests, and Automation tests based on test case design.
  10. Implement integration tests spanning across component teams.
  11. Participate actively in code reviews.
  12. Incorporate instrumentation, monitoring, and alert mechanisms into the software.
  13. Ensure software solutions are always up and available.
  14. Handle product alerts and provide support.
  15. Implement bug fixes as necessary.
  16. Upgrade components, libraries, infrastructure, etc., as needed.
  17. Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  18. Maintain regular, punctual attendance. Ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.
  19. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  2. 3-5 years of professional experience in software development.
  3. Strong understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
  4. Proficient in web development, including HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, and SQL databases.
  5. Proficiency in Golang/Java with knowledge of design patterns such as GoF, MVC, SOLID, MVP, Flux.
  6. Strong testing principles and practices, with experience using Junit, Selenium, Cypress, JMeter, Jest, Mocha.
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills for frontend and backend, utilizing tools like Browser Developer Tools, Go PProf, JStack, JMap.
  8. Good communication and writing skills, with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Familiarity with Scrum Agile, Jira, CI/CD tools, Git, Jenkins, and DevOps principles.
  10. Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, large-scale web applications, and cloud platforms (plus).
