Job summary

Onto Innovation is seeking a talented Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize low-level software components powering our next-generation semiconductor systems. In this role you will participate in the full software lifecycle—from requirements gathering to deployment and debugging.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop .NET applications using C# and WPF, and implement client-server communication and hardware interfaces over TCP/IP and other protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of professional software development experience with .NET, C#, etc.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Experience with WPF for GUI design and implementation.
• Proficiency in client/server communication technologies such as WCF and TCP/IP.
• Experience interfacing with hardware through various communication protocols.
• Familiarity with metrology tools and SEMI-industry standards is a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile/SCRUM methodologies and tools like Git.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills.

Compensation & Growth

• Base Salary Range: $86,400.00 - $129,600.00, offered in good faith and based on experience, location, and qualifications.
• Additional Rewards: Annual bonus opportunities and potential long-term incentives tied to both company and individual success.
