The Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems—including processing‑intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real‑time systems, and business management information systems—based upon documented requirements. The engineer works individually or as part of a team, reviews and tests software components for adherence to design requirements, documents test results, resolves software problem reports, and utilizes appropriate software development and design methodologies. The engineer also provides specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade‑offs, software reuse, COTS/GOTS integration, and end‑to‑end requirements analysis.
Fourteen (14) years experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
$200k–$240k (Annually)
The range displayed above is a likely salary range for this position. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
