Job Description

We are seeking a developer with a strong interest in Performance Engineering and a drive to enhance our observation telemetry, optimize our custom framework "Globe," research best practices, and advocate for these initiatives across the engineering organization. This role requires building skills in infrastructure management and developer relations alongside platform development.

As a Software Engineer, 2, you should have a proven track record of innovative thinking, technical mastery, and peer guidance within our Vertical Brands. You will collaborate in an Agile environment and implement ideas in code, improving high-visibility features on prominent pages across over 20 brands, reaching more than 100 million users monthly.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop responsive, cross-platform functionalities using our custom server-side framework built on Java, with SCSS, Freemarker templates, ES6, and VueJS for interactive components.
2. Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders across the organization.
3. Stay updated with new technologies to solve problems and improve systems.
4. Work directly with designers, QA, and back-end developers to realize product visions.
5. Participate in a two-week agile cycle for continuous feature development.

Qualifications:

1. 2+ years experience in building interactive web applications as a front-end or full-stack developer.
2. Proficiency in HTML, vanilla JavaScript, CSS/SCSS, with a portfolio or GitHub examples.
3. Willingness to learn and grow as a developer.
4. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
5. Experience with publishing or digital media (preferred but not required).
6. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $105,000 - $125,000; Remote US: $100,000 - $120,000

The actual pay may vary based on location, experience, and performance. Benefits include health coverage, unlimited PTO, parental leave, 401K, bonuses, and more.
