Job summary

Revel IT in the Chantilly, VA area is seeking a Software Engineer for full-time placement at a client facility. The role involves collecting, organizing, and analyzing technical information from multiple sources to drive missions and quick-turn tasks in fast-paced environments.

The position requires significant programming experience in C#, C++, and/or Java, plus full-stack skills, and US citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, EE or related field with 3+ years of experience, or master's degree in related field with 1+ year of experience, or Ph.D.; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
• Experience in full-stack software development with significant programming experience in C#, C++, and/or Java.
• Professional development experience using JavaScript or one of its derivatives.
• Experience in MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational database technology.
• Ability to learn and understand new programing languages, design patterns, operating systems, and deployment environments (i.e. Azure, AWS, and physical hardware).
• Experience in national security, defense, and/or intelligence communities.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

• C/C++ development that supports critical customer missions
• Applying concepts from newer compiled languages such as Go, or Rust to embedded development.
• Developing for real time operating systems (RTOS) and interesting embedded systems.
• Applying understanding of software development to the analysis of compiled custom operating systems by learning reverse engineering principles.
• Collaborating in a multi-disciplinary environment while working independently and leading tasks on time and on budget.
• Participate in the design, implementation and maintenance of tailored software applications to provide advanced solutions supporting diverse business areas.
• Provide data analysis and modeling to include the physical and logical design of databases
• Support the design and delivery of reports, stored procedures and queries to meet project requirements
• Translate user-requirements into concepts for information system solutions to be implemented by functional teams
• Contribute to and participate in testing of delivered software solutions
