Pave Finance, Inc. in New York City is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our AI-enabled wealth-management platform. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software across the stack, collaborating with cross‑functional teams on real product impact.

We value curiosity and initiative for 0–2+ years of experience, with a CS or software degree as a nice-to-have. This is a hybrid role with 3 days in-office and strong growth opportunities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 0–2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• BSc in Software Engineering or Computer Science is a nice to have.
• Comfortable across the stack with TypeScript, React and SQL databases.

This is the focus of our growing Internal team. We’re looking for a Junior Software Engineer who is proficient working with AI and excited to work across teams to help improve the day-to-day for everyone at Pave. This is a role with a lot of agency and autonomy, a bit of a playground for learning and trying on many hats. We are looking for people who want to make an impact and contribute their ideas.

What we’re looking for

• 0 - 2 + years of professional experience in software engineering or site reliability engineering, a BSc in Software Engineering or Computer Science or higher degree is a nice to have.
• General understanding of code, structures, and algorithms.
• Ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
• Comfortable contributing across the stack (TypeScript, React and SQL databases)
• Proficient in using AI coding tools.
• Preferred:
• Collaboration abilities in cross-functional startup environments and strong technical communication skills
• Default to automating and abstracting painful manual workflows
• Enjoy writing clean code, thinking about system design, and scaling both systems and developer productivity
• Are proactive, low-ego, and comfortable owning projects end-to-end
